Mullerian Mimicry

5 comments:

  1. An appropriate companion piece to the panel on Batesian mimicry. Simplistically, Mullerian mimicry is convergent development of similar features, attributes or coloration amongst differing species who pack a wallop (venom, toxins, etc.) presumably resulting in reduced predation through common predator heuristics. I'll leave you to figure out the visual reference to this.

It will be a great day when we get to a point where men stop thinking that all women crave their sophomoric advances and any woman who declines to be objectified won't simply be dismissed as a bitch.

Visual reference? The "180-11-5" gives you a burgundy color if they refer to an RGB color. The "4-0", I don't know

  4. You got it. Micrurus is the other clue to the banding.

  5. I should clarify - North American coral snakes. I believe the banding of old world species is different.
